Robert R. Miller, is a certified petroleum geologist, has more than 30 years of experience during which he was instrumental in the discovery of numerous profitable oil and gas fields in North Texas. His expertise in data analysis and his scientific approach to exploration has resulted in successes time and time again in more than 20 counties. Since 2003, Miller has caused to be drilled numerous successful vertical and horizontal gas wells in the Barnett Shale in Parker, Tarrant, Ellis, Hood and Dallas counties.

Miller has been instrumental in expanding numerous plays, including the Barnett. He was one of the early pioneers in the Barnett, helping to prove up the western expansion into Parker County which eventually led to development into Tarrant, Ellis, Dallas and other counties while bringing Exxon into the play. Miller accumulated royalties and/or working interest in over 50,000 acres under development. Recently, a huge Barnett project that Miller has been involved in since its origination sold to Chesapeake.

An AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist and member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Miller has been certified as an expert witness in geology by the Texas Railroad Commission. He is a founding member of the AAPG Energy Minerals Division and a member of the Abilene Geology Society. He carries the State of Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists License #2000.

Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Southern Methodist University in 1975. Immediately upon graduation and on an on-going basis, he actively participates in continuing education courses. In 2004, he was nominated for a prestigious Oil and Gas Investor Excellence Award, Best Rejuvenation (Barnett Shale) Married for more than 30 years, he and his wife Sally Sneed Miller have four children and three grandchildren. Miller prides himself on introducing geology to young persons, including academically challenged, gifted students and Boy Scouts.
